  • Treasure – Award Nominations

    David plays Pip’s GP in this beautiful short film from director Seán Healy & writer Jo Summerscales, with Fleur Keith in the lead role of Pip.
    “Treasure” received the Humanity Award at the New Renaissance Film Festival Awards in Soho, London on October 2nd 2022, in addition to nominations in both the Best UK Short & Best Director categories.
    The film is set for General Release on October 24th. More festival news to follow soon.

    In this latest release from One Day Films David leads as Josh Joseph, a successful young government minister who is faced with a moral and spiritual crisis as he heads into a national election.
    Having discovered a childhood friend he has not seen for 17 years is getting married on the day of the election, he abandons London, his hectic electioneering schedule and a critical pre-election TV debate to drive north to see her.
    This irrational impulse threatens to derail his political career and leads him into unsettling encounters with love, longing and regret.
    “True Calling” was part of the official selection for the Toronto Independent Film Festival 2021 and winner of best international Feature at the Lebanese Independent Film Festival 2021.
